Eight inmates at Warkworth Institution have COVID-19.
Correctional Service Canada staff say they are closely monitoring the situation and measures are in place to minimize the spread of the virus.
To date, 82% of inmates at the medium security facility in Campbellford are fully vaccinated and 86% have received at least one dose.
