Brighton has made the decision to cancel its 2022 levee.
The event, which had been scheduled for New Year’s Day, is being cancelled due to rising COVID cases and the increased transmissibility of the Omicron variant.
Mayor Brian Ostrander calls it disappointing but says caution is needed right now.
He does plan to post a New Year’s greeting video.
