To accommodate increased demand for COVID-19 vaccinations, the vaccination clinic at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre is moving.
At the request of Hastings Prince Edward Public Health, the city is moving the clinic from the gym to the Family Dental Centre Arena next week.
The clinic’s relocation to the more spacious arena will enable Public Health to book appointments sooner and in larger numbers.
Mayor Mitch Panciuk says, “Hastings Prince Edward Public Health needs this additional space to enable them to vaccinate as many residents as quickly as possible and we feel fortunate to be able to provide them with this facility for that purpose. We are proud to host this clinic for not only our Belleville residents but for the region as a whole.”
Appointments will still be required.
The Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre is not booking appointments.
Appointments must be booked through the provincial booking site, or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1-833-943-3900 from 8 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week.
QSWC Staff will be reaching out to arena user groups affected by change to work with them to make alternative arrangements if possible.
