Belleville Police have laid charges in connection with an internet child exploitation investigation.
Police say the investigation began in 2020 following information provided by an international law enforcement agency.
On December 8 of this year, members of the Belleville Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit, Forensic Identification Unit and Tech Crime Unit executed a Criminal Code search warrant on a west end apartment unit.
An arrest was made Thursday.
Twenty-eight-year-old Eric Tremblay of Belleville is charged with one count of Accessing Child Pornography and one count of Possession of Child Pornography.
The accused was released with a court date of February 3, 2022.
