The Wellington Dukes scored three unanswered goals in 2:54 seconds midway in the third period to break a 1-1 tie and go on to a 4-1 victory over the Golden Hawks in Trenton last night.
Two goals by Emmet Pierce 22 seconds apart changed the game as the Dukes evened the Hasty P Cup series at two wins each. Ironically, the visiting team has won all four games. David Campbell had three assists for the Dukes who were two for four with the man advantage.
Golden Hawks coach Peter Goulet thought his team beat themselves.
The Golden Hawks entertain the Toronto Junior Canadians on Wednesday night while the Dukes are home to Haliburton on Friday night.
