So said the mayor of Belleville as councillor Paul Carr said he’d received a number of complaints, especially from seniors, who tried to make a COVID-19 booster shot appointment only to be offered times in communities outside of the area, such as Peterborough.

“What I would say is in the same way that we had the initial rollout of first and second doses, people need to be patient and if you’re not getting an appointment that’s in our community to check in a little bit later and I know it’s frustrating.”
Mayor Panciuk said he’d bring up the issues at a meeting with Hastings Prince Edward Public Health Wednesday.
Booster shot appointments can also be made through some pharmacies and family doctors’ offices.
