The wind warning issued Saturday by Environment Canada delivered as far as expectations were concerned.
Winds began in the afternoon and persisted through the night in all areas of the Bay of Quinte region.
The height of the winds came between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Saturday.
During that period winds hovered right around 55 kilometres per hour with the strongest gusts of 85 kilometres per hour coming in the six o’clock hour.
After midnight the winds subsided and lowered to around 30 kilometres per hour with gusts still up in the 50s, according to Environment Canada’s data from Saturday night and Sunday morning.
