Active COVID-19 cases have increased to over 200 in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties with 38 new cases reported Friday.
There are now 203 active cases.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health reports 15 recoveries since Thursday.
Of today’s new cases, 20 are unvaccinated, 17 fully vaccinated and one partially.
The Hastings Prince Edward Public Health dashboard shows 12 of the cases are under the age of 18.
Twenty-three cases are in Belleville, six in Quinte West, four in Central Hastings, three in Prince Edward County and one each in the Deseronto area and North Hastings.
Eight people are in hospital with three in the ICU.
There are 25 ongoing outbreaks, eight of them in local schools and another on a tri-board bus.
The seven day case rate per 100,000 people is up to 95.5.
Eighty-four percent of HPE residents five years of age and over have received a first dose of a COVID vaccine and 78% have received two doses.
