Belleville Police are searching for a suspect after a theft at Doug’s Bicycle.
Police were called to the College Street business Thursday at 4 p.m. for reports of a theft.
According to police a man had walked into the business and asked to take a $9,000 mountain bike for a test ride and offered his wallet as collateral.
The suspect left with the bike in a white newer model Chevrolet Silverado truck and police later learned the wallet did not belong to him.
