The Regent Theatre has had thousands of dollars in sound equipment stolen following a break-in.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday it was announced that a break-in had happened on Monday between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. and that two speakers, an audio console and a lighting instrument, totalling $7,000 in value, had been stolen from the theatre’s sound equipment lockup.
According to the Facebook post someone had forced their way in through the green room before removing the lock from the equipment room.
They also allege that it appears to be a “very targeted break” and they’re asking that anyone who may have information contact them.
They’ve also started a page for donations to help recoup the losses.
You can make a donation at the Regent Theatre’s CanadaHelps page.
