The Quinte West OPP will be hosting a “Cram the Cruiser” event just in time for the holiday season.
On Saturday, December 11, 2021 between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., Quinte West OPP members will have a police cruiser on display at Smylies Independent Grocer located at 293 Dundas Street East in Trenton. With the assistance of the community, Quinte West OPP is hoping to “Cram the Cruiser” full of non-perishable food items which are to be donated to the Trenton Care and Share Food Bank. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
The most needed foods items are:
· Breakfast cereal (especially low sugar varieties i.e. Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies or Cheerios)
· Rice
· Oatmeal
· Canned soup
· Pasta/pasta sauce
· Canned fish
· Canned fruit (no sugar added/in water)
· Canned vegetables
· Cookies and crackers
· Baby food
