Quinte Vitality and Social Support will be able to make some improvements thanks to the Ontario Trillium Foundation Resilient Communities Fund.
QVSS offers day supports for adults living with developmental and physical disabilities.
It received a $27,400 grant to install touchless plumbing and sanitary devices like soap dispensers, faucets, sanitizers and washrooms.
Since the start of the pandemic, QVSS has had to reduce the number of people attending the agency and spend extra time cleaning and disinfecting.
Officials with the organization say it has been challenging to meet the demand for services and keep people as safe as possible.
This will help them increase capacity and focus on more people.
