Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reported 20 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, more than half of which are fully vaccinated individuals.
There have been 10 recoveries leaving 173 active cases.
The health unit dashboard shows 11 of today’s new cases are fully vaccinated, eight are unvaccinated and one partially vaccinated.
Thirty percent of cases since July 1 have been breakthrough cases.
Belleville has the highest concentration of new cases with eight.
There are five on the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, three each in Quinte West and Prince Edward County and one in Central Hastings.
Seven people are in hospital with three in the Intensive Care Unit.
There are 21 active outbreaks, the latest at the Duke Pub which has six cases connected to it.
An outbreak at Marmora Public School is up to five cases.
There are ongoing outbreaks at seven local schools but thee schools all remain open.
The seven day case rate per 100,000 people is 78.7.
Eighty-four percent of the local population aged five and older now have a first dose of a COVID vaccine while 78% have received two doses.
