Bay of Quinte MP Ryan Williams has continued to be active in the House of Commons.
After jumping into the conversation on inflation and housing earlier in the week the Conservative Party of Canada’s Deputy Shadow Minister for Innovation, Science and Industry kept it up on Thursday.
In Thursday’s session Williams said that to get through the inflation issue Canada must become an “innovation nation.”
“I also believe that to fix our inflation on housing and other things caused by over-printing of our money, we need to be producing more of the things money buys. That means homes, that means freeing up our home builders to build the things that Canadians need. It means unleashing Canadian innovation, making things in Canada.”
He stressed the need to support both urban and rural Canadians in producing products in the country and assisting those who wish to do so in Canada.
During a lengthy speech he touched on his own family’s history in politics, including his father and former mayor of Quinte West, the late John Williams.
He also thanked his family and spoke about the sacrifices MPs and their families make to do their jobs.
