There are currently no outdoor municipal tennis or pickle ball facilities available for public use in Belleville.
The city’s Parkland and Recreation Master Plan recommends the installation of eight new tennis courts and 11 new pickle ball courts to fill the current gap, with some of these facilities being combined into multi-use or shared courts. As the city prepares to implement these recommendations over the next number of years, it is seeking input from residents on what they would like to see at these facilities.
Operations Planning and Development Manager, Transportation & Operations Services Rowland Cave-Browne-Cave says. “The feedback we gather through this public engagement process will be used to help ensure that the facilities and services we provide will meet these growing needs. We hope that all residents will take the time to complete the online survey and have their say.”
The survey will close on January 13.
