Quinte West OPP have arrested a wanted man following a foot pursuit.
According to police they were called to the area of Sidney Street and North Murray Street in Trenton around 8:15 Tuesday morning after receiving a tip regarding the whereabouts of 31-year-old Clifford Archer of Quinte West.
An officer with the Emergency Response Team spotted the man trying to get into a North Murray Street apartment building and when the man saw the officer, he fled.
The officer apprehended the man after a brief foot chase and Archer was arrested on three outstanding warrants.
He was charged with:
- Three counts of failure to comply with undertaking
- Dangerous operation
- Flight from peace officer
- Theft of motor vehicle
- Mischief under $5,000
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
Archer was held for a bail hearing on Tuesday.
