It was jam-packed night of junior hockey in the Bay of Quinte Friday.
The Trenton Golden Hawks played host to the North York Rangers in OJHL Junior A action.
Dalton Bancroft added to his team lead in points by scoring once in the first and once in the second to put his team up 2-0.
In the third Matthew Cato and Devin Mauro scored to seal the deal on a 4-1 Golden Hawks win putting them comfortably ahead of second place Haliburton County in the East Division standings.
Across the Bay the Wellington Dukes hosted the Lindsay Muskies.
Lindsay’s William Jones and Boyd Stahlbaum both scored in the first to put the Dukes in a 2-0 hole heading into the intermission.
In the second Wellington’s David Campbell scored his sixth goal in 14 games as a Duke to cut the lead in half but back-to-back Muskies power play goals in the third extended the lead to 4-1 for Lindsay.
Down the stretch Jacob Vreugdenhil and Cole McGuire both scored for the Dukes as they mounted a comeback but it fell short and Wellington lost 4-3.
In Junior C action, the Frankford Huskies have finally done it.
After going 0-14-2 in their inaugural season the Frankford Huskies finally collected their first ever win Friday night beating the Campbellford Rebels 4-1.
Elsewhere the Napanee Raiders battled to a 3-3 tie with the Port Hope Panthers.
