More than 135 mayors and local officials in Canada and the United States are working together to protect and restore the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River.
Executive Director of the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Initiative, Jonathan Altenberg, tells Mary Thomas of Quinte News what action he hopes the federal government will take.
“By investing in better drainage for flooding, dealing with green infrastructure development when it comes to shoreline erosion, etc. And you know, that’s where we think the federal government and our communities need to be focused on.”
