Motorists should avoid the area of the Quinte Skyway Bridge beginning Saturday at 6 a.m.
The company conducting work on the bridge will close it down on November 27 at 6 a.m. to begin the final work on the D section of the bridge which has been receiving segmented upgrades since 2019.
The bridge will be closed until 6 a.m. on Monday, November 29.
The closure is required to complete the final concrete placement to connect the two new decks before final paving and the eventual reopening of the two lanes to traffic, according to Aecon.
In case of poor weather, the closure may be rescheduled for Saturday, December 4 at 6 a.m. until Monday, December 6 at 6 a.m.
