There was another big jump in COVID-19 cases in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.
Officials with the local health unit announced 23 new cases Wednesday.
There are now 99 active cases.
After initially showing another COVID related death on it dashboard, Hastings Prince Edward Public Health tweeted Wednesday afternoon that there was a reporting clerical error and that the number of deaths since the start of the pandemic remains at 15.
Fifteen of the new cases are in unvaccinated people with the other eight fully vaccinated.
The majority of new cases are in Quinte West where there are 10.
Six are in Belleville with two each in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, Deseronto and Central Hastings and one in Prince Edward County
Three of the cases are among five to eleven-year-olds and four in 12 to 17-year-olds.
There are three active outbreaks, one in Trenton affecting 20 people, one in Prince Edward involving three cases and there is just one case at a congregate living facility in Central Hastings but, in that setting, it is considered an outbreak.
Three people are currently being treated in hospital with one person in the ICU.
Vaccination numbers remain at 90% of HPE residents aged 12 and up with one dose and 85% with two doses.
In Northumberland, the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit is reporting one new case along with nine active.
