A key member of Quinte Health Care’s medical and management team is retiring soon.
At Tuesday’s meeting, QHC’s Board of Directors said thank you to Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Carol Smith Romeril.
Board member Lisa O’Toole said Smith Romeril did an exemplary job with several projects but will be remembered more for her attitude.
“What I’ll remember is your calmness and the thoughtful and reasoned approach that you took when you dealt with any critical events and other issues. I’ll remember the compassion that you showed.”
Carol Smith Romeril has been with Quinte Health Care since 2016 and her last day on the job is this Friday. A new Chief Nursing Officer is expected to be named early in the new year.
