The Belleville Senators are bringing back a familiar face.
The B-Sens announced Tuesday they’ve acquired defenceman Jack Dougherty from the Providence Bruins in exchange for future considerations.
The 25 year-old from St. Paul, Minnesota will be returning for his third season in Belleville after playing 88 games for the Senators from 2019-2021.
Originally selected by Nashville in the second round of the 2014 NHL Draft (51st overall), Dougherty has played a total of 286 games in his American Hockey League career, amassing 58 points and a plus-19 rating during stints with Milwaukee, Rochester and one game with Providence this season.
Dougherty is expected to join the team in time for Friday’s game in Laval against the Rocket.
