The Trenton Golden Hawks and Wellington Dukes posted home victories yesterday (Sunday).
At the Dunc McDonald Community Gardens Jake Campbell scored the winning goal as Trenton defeated St. Michaels 4-2 to open a 7 point lead atop the OJHL’s East Division. The Golden Hawks are home to North York on Friday.
Emmet Pierce scored three as Wellington clipped the Lindsay Muskies 5-2. The Dukes move one point behind second place Haliburton County in the east. The Dukes are in Lindsay on Friday.
The Amherstview Jets moved into a first place tie with Napanee in the Provincial Junior C Hockey League’s Tod Division thanks to a 4-3 win over the visiting Raiders. Both teams have identical 13-2 records.
Tonight Port Hope takes on the winless Huskies in Frankford.
In the Eastern Ontario Superior Hockey League, the Tweed Oil Kings were 8-5 winners over the visiting West Carleton Rivermen.
Cody Warren, Devin McCann, Luigi Martone and Andrew Rhynold scored twice for Tweed.
