A 22-year-old Greater Napanee man faces charges after allegedly barricading himself in a motel room with another person who he was threatening to harm.
Lennox and Addington OPP were called to the motel off County Road 41 in Greater Napanee just after two p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
The Emergency Response Team and the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit also attended the scene.
After negotiations, the victim was removed without incident.
The suspect was arrested and taken into custody around 5 p.m.
Logan Gilchrist is charged with Forcible Confinement, Assault, Four counts of Uttering threats and Two counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order.
He was held for bail hearing Monday.
The victim was uninjured.
The OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate.
