The Hastings Prince Edward District School Board says three more students have tested positive for COVID-19.
On Twitter Sunday night the board says one student each from Trent River Public School and Trenton High School in Quinte West tested positive along with another at Park Dale School in Belleville.
All three schools remain open. High risk contacts have been notified.
On Friday Hastings-Prince Edward Public Health reported five students from Trenton High and two at Trenton River Public had tested positive.
Meanwhile local COVID-19 updates aren’t provided on weekends however Friday 22 new cases were reported by Hastings-Prince Edward Public Health with 16 of those being in Quinte West and the other six in Belleville.
A community outbreak was declared in Trenton.
Just one new case was reported Friday in Northumberland County.
Provincially there were 741 new cases of COVID-19 reported on Sunday — along with three more deaths linked to the virus.
Sunday was the fourth straight day with case numbers topping 700.
Just over 400 of the new cases were among people either not fully vaccinated or whose immunization status was unknown.
