Belleville General Hospital Foundation has 49,000 reasons to smile.
The latest Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign raised a record-breaking $49,529 for the foundation.
The money was raised across 10 Tim Hortons locations.
BGHF Executive Director Steven Cook calls the support from this year’s campaign a testament to the generosity of local community members and the commitment of Tim Hortons in ensuring BGH continues to provide great health care.
Local franchise owner Jamie Smid said it is a fantastic show of support from the community, particularly at a time when hospitals are front of mind.
Across Canada, more than $12 million was raised for charities through this year’s Smile Cookie Campaign, a new national record.
