There were eight new cases of COVID-19 reported Thursday by the Hastings Prince Edward health unit.
Four of the new cases were in Belleville with two each in Quinte West and Prince Edward County.
Four of the positive tests were found in unvaccinated people and four in those who were fully vaccinated.
With one recovery there are now 26 active cases in Hastings-Prince Edward.
Meanwhile the number of people being treated in hospital has dropped from five to just one however that person is in the Intensive Care Unit.
