A local man is using his passion for cycling to raise money for the Belleville General Hospital oncology department.
Over the last five years, Chris Jeffrey has cycled to raise more than $15,000 for the oncology department, including $3,500 this year.
Jeffrey’s fundraising journey started in 2015 following the passing of his wife Pamela who was diagnosed with lung cancer.
With BGH carrying out over 15,000 cancer care appointments annually, Belleville General Hospital Foundation Executive Director Steve Cook calls the donation a welcome contribution towards keeping exceptional care close to home.
