It was anything but a frightful showing as this year’s Deadnersville Halloween event raised over $9,000 for the Belleville General Hospital Foundation.
Lorne Holditch and his wife Sheila started the annual Halloween display in 2013 and though Sheila passed away in 2019, Lorne vowed to continue the event in her memory.
More than 3,700 people visited the Rednersville Road event before and on Halloween.
Lorne had help setting up this year’s display, including his close friend Carl Eggiman.
Lorne broke his ankle in early October and was operated on at BGH, calling it another reminder of why he loves supporting the hospital.
BGHF Executive Director Steven Cook says, “To have the continued support of Lorne, through this event, is incredible. It’s a true example of how third-party fundraising can enact change in our hospital and help support equipment purchases.”
