Belleville police responded to 73 calls for service between 5 a.m. on November 10, 2021 and 5 a.m. on November 11, 2021.
Impaired Driver
On November 10, 2021 at 3:30 p.m., police received a report of a vehicle that was rear ended on Airport Parkway. After the accident the suspect vehicle left the scene. A few minutes later the occupied vehicle was located at the carpool at highways 37 and 401. The male was arrested for impaired driving. As a result of the investigation Tyler Taft, a 30-year-old Belleville resident, was charged with impaired driving, and over 80. He was released on an undertaking with a court date of December 2, 2021.
Mischief
On November 10, 2021 at 7 p.m., police received a call about a male damaging vehicles on College Street East. Police attended and found that a resident who was mad at the occupants was the suspect. As a result, a 23-year-old male was arrested and charged with two counts of mischief, breach of a peace bond, and breach of probation. He was held for a video remand on November 11, 2021.
