Belleville police responded to 79 calls for service between 5 a.m. on November 9, 2021 and 5 a.m. on November 10, 2021.
Disturbance
On November 9, 2021 at 7:02 p.m., police received a complaint from an address on Wallbridge Crescent that two males were pounding on doors in an attempt to get into the building. When police arrived, the men were located and spoken to. As a result, a 63-year-old Belleville resident was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. He was later released on a provincial offence notice.
Assault
On November 9, 2021 at 8:14 p.m., police received a call about a male throwing a piece of wood through a window at a residence on Harvey Street. Police attended but the suspect, who was known to the occupants had fled the scene. Police received information the suspect had gotten into a fight in the residence and he threw the wood through the window after the fight. On November 10, 2021 at 12:44 a.m., police received a call that the suspect had returned to the residence and was causing problem. Police located the male on Church Street and placed him under arrest for assault and mischief. The 37-year-old Richmond Hill resident was held for a bail hearing on November 10, 2021.
