Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is advising of a confirmed positive case of COVID-19 in a student that attends Frankford Public School.
The health unit said in a release Tuesday that while the student has tested positive, they were not in class or on the bus while they were contagious, so there is no risk of exposure within the school.
As such, the health unit is simply advising that parents and guardians continue to screen their children daily for symptoms of COVID-19 and to isolate and seek testing if they appear.
The health unit is in the process of contacting all possible close contacts of the individual that has tested positive.
