Two MPs from the region have been named to the Conservative shadow cabinet.
Leader Erin O’Toole announced his cabinet Tuesday morning.
Rookie MP for Hastings-Lennox & Addington Shelby Kramp-Neuman is the Shadow Minister for Seniors.
Kramp-Neuman issued a statement Tuesday afternoon saying, “I am extremely honoured to be given the significant role and responsibility of Shadow Minister for Seniors. I am thrilled to be appointed to this role, and I want to take this opportunity to thank our Leader, Erin O’Toole, for the confidence he has invested in me…I look forward to working with the Minister as well as my colleagues on all sides to deliver results for Canada’s aging population.”
Northumberland Peterborough South MP Phil Lawrence remains in the shadow cabinet as he was named Shadow Minister for Federal Economic Development Agency for Eastern, Central and Southern Ontario.
Lawrence was previously the Shadow Minister of National Revenue.
Bay of Quinte MP Ryan Williams did not receive a post.
