The City of Quinte West is asking for help after lights for the annual Christmas display in downtown Trenton were vandalized.
Mayor Jim Harrison tells Quinte News the Fantasy of Lights Display at Fraser Park was hit.
He says the displays of lights were torn down and tossed into the mouth of the Trent River.
Harrison says the work to erect the display is voluntary and that it is a sad situation.
It has been reported to Quinte West OPP and they will be checking the downtown cameras to see if they can assist in the investigation.
His Worship was asked by Quinte News whether or not the vandalism in connected to the spray painting incidents around the Quinte region. It is not known at this time.
