One person has been charged in connection with a break and enter at a hydro facility in Quinte West.
Late Saturday night, Quinte West OPP were dispatched to a hydro facility on Riverside Drive after receiving a report that a person was seen stealing property from within the compound.
The suspect fled on foot into a wooded area but was found about an hour later with the assistance of the OPP Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team.
Fifty-three-year-old John Wamboldt of Brighton is charged with break, enter a place – commit indictable offence, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possess break and enter instruments and theft under $5000.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court on December 16.
