The Community and Human Services Department of Hastings County will undertake a county-wide homeless enumeration for 2021.
The provincially mandated process involves the creation of a by-name list of all people experiencing homelessness across the county.
The work will be conducted by county staff during the week of November 15.
The survey is used to collect basic demographic information for people experiencing homelessness to inform homelessness services and the by-name list is a real-time list of all people experiencing homelessness in the community.
A detailed report will be presented to the Community and Human Services Committee and council in early next year based on the findings.
