Belleville police tracked data on calls related to homeless people from December 2020 to October 15 of this year.
According to police there was a total of 519 related to homeless people in that time.
Of those calls, most of them happened on Front Street with 76, Dundas Street East with 38 and North Front Street with 30.
The three months with the highest call volume were August with 69, September with 61 and June with 58.
Police data shows that a vast majority of the calls were either business complaints or residential complaints.
It also shows that there were 158 calls for service to the Grace Inn Shelter in that time, significantly higher than the 88 calls documented from its opening in late 2019 to November of 2020.
There were also 55 calls for service to the Bridge Street United Church since the opening of its drop-in centre in May.
Also noteworthy, from the last report at the end of August, calls for service to Front Street have increased 55%.
