Quinte West OPP say a suspect wanted in connection with an explosives and firearms investigation has turned himself in to police.
On October 28, OPP investigated a report of potential homemade explosives at a Montrose Road address.
The device was determined not to be a risk to public safety and was removed from the residence at that time.
Tuesday morning, officers returned to a residence on a report that additional suspected explosive devices were located.
The OPP Explosives Disposal Unit assisted in analyzing and removing the devices.
Additionally, a sawed-off shotgun was located.
The suspect turned himself in Thursday afternoon.
33-year-old Adam Horn of Quinte West is charged with:
- Explosives – making or possessing for unlawful purpose – three counts
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose – three counts
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm; and
- Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition – two counts
He’s been held for a bail hearing in Belleville on Friday.
