A well-known local artist has donated a piece of her artwork to be put up in the new Stan Klemencic Hospice Quinte Care Centre.
Barbara Whelan has donated her “Purple Tulip” painting to Hospice Quinte in recognition of the work done by the organization.
Her son, Quinte West Fire Chief John Whalen is a member of Hospice Quinte’s Capital Campaign Cabinet, a group raising money for the new hospice.
Hospice Quinte’s Donor Relations and Communications Manager Sandi Ramsay said they’re eager for other local artists to consider donating proceeds from their art or commissions or gifts of art that can be used to raise funds for the new facility.
