Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee has given its blessing to a large housing development on the former Ben Bleecker building property in the west end of the city.
Monday night the committee recommended city council approve an Official Plan amendment and rezoning to allow one ten-storey apartment building and 37 townhouses to be built on the northern part of the property.
In total there would be 137 residential units along with green space.
A grocery store and other commercial space is being proposed for the southern section of the land.
