Impaired and Mischief
On October 30, 2021 at 8:30 a.m., Belleville police were contacted after a man who had caused domestic mischief to a residence the previous evening and fled, had since returned and was unwanted. A responding officer located the male’s vehicle on a nearby road and preformed a vehicle stop in the east end of the city. The man was found to be heavily intoxicated and was arrested. The driver was found to have over three times the legal limit of alcohol in his body. The 27-year-old man from Amherstview was charged with domestic mischief and operating a motor vehicle while impaired. He was released with a November 22 court date. Due to the domestic nature of the incident, no names will be released.
