The Picton Pirates duked it out with the Campbellford Raiders to a 7-2 final score Saturday night.
The Pirates jumped out to an early lead in the first but Campbellford answered back quickly with a goal from forward Connor MacGregor.
In the second period Picton took control with three unanswered goals to bring the score to 4-1.
The Rebels managed to answer when forward Adam Klaas put one in cutting the lead in half.
Both teams took numerous penalties in the second frame and before the intermission Picton netted another goal to make it 5-2.
Despite multiple power play opportunities, the Rebels couldn’t catch up as the Pirates added two more before the final buzzer and took home a 7-2 win over Campbellford.
For Picton’s end, Nate Boomhour had two goals and Jackson Dow, Landon McLellan, Noah Brant, Owen Dever and Liam Lochhead all added goals as well.
The Pirates return to action Thursday against the Frankford Huskies.
