A Belleville man is facing a slew of charges after a domestic incident in the city Saturday night.
Belleville Police say they were called to a domestic incident at a west end apartment at approximately 10:45 p.m. where a loud argument was happening.
Police arrived and had to make a forced entry to the unit at which point the 37-year-old man became combative and had to be tasered.
He continued to resist arrest and made death threats to officers.
There were no reported injuries.
Upon further investigation police found weapons in the apartment and the man was charged with:
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Two counts of breaching a weapons prohibition order
- Two counts of breach of probation
- Resisting a peace officer
- Uttering threats to cause death
- Possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose
He was held for a bail hearing happening on Sunday.
