One person was taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries after being dragged by a horse Friday afternoon.
Quinte West Fire Chief John Whelan tells Quinte News that two females were riding horses in a wooded area around McMullen and Harrington Roads.
One of the riders got off her horse and got her foot caught in the stirrup.
The horse ran off, dragging her.
Since they were more than a kilometre in the bush, two Quinte West Fire and Rescue ATVs rode in with Hastings Quinte Paramedics and OPP to bring her out.
Both horses ended up running off but were found.
The rider was taken to Trenton Memorial Hospital.
