A former Highland Shores Children’s Aid Society employee has been found guilty on three of five charges in connection with sex offences against two teenaged males.
Sandra Forcier, who was 48 at the time of her arrest, was charged in January 2019 with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual exploitation of a youth under the age of 18 and one count of sexual interference.
A publication ban prevents the publication of any details of the case that could identify the victims.
The incidents occurred between 2012 and 2014.
In many instances, drugs including marijuana and MDMA were involved during the sexual encounters.
In the case of the first victim, who was in the care of HCAS, Forcier was found guilty of sexual exploitation and not guilty on a charge of sexual assault.
On charges relating to the second victim, Forcier was found guilty on two counts – sexual assault and sexual exploitation.
She was not guilty on a single count of sexual interference.
In delivering his ruling on Friday, Justice Patrick Hurley said Forcier engaged in a pattern of conduct with a central objective of association to exploit them for sexual purpose.
Both the Crown and defence requested a pre-sentencing report which will be heard December 3 at which time a sentencing date will be set for sometime in the new year.
