Snow is coming, and that poses a problem for many people in the community.
Clearing snow can be a barrier for many people including older adults, people with disabilities, someone with an injury or even a parent with young children in the house.
It can affect an individual’s ability to stay active in the community and to live at home safely and as independently as possible.
Snow Angels is a neighbourhood program, not a city program, that allows people who need help shoveling snow from their driveways and walkways to connect with volunteers in their area.
After registering on the website, those seeking support with snow removal can view all nearby registered volunteers and message them to request support.
Likewise, as a registered volunteer, you can view the approximate locations of people seeking support and reach out to them to offer help.

If you registered for last year’s program, you can log in with your original email and password. If you have forgotten your password, you can use the email you registered with and simply reset your password online.
To encourage people to get involved and to recognize the work of generous “snow angels” in our community, volunteers will receive a free Snow Angels toque. Details on the giveaway will be sent out by email to all registered volunteers at a later date.
The Snow Angels program is not a City of Belleville program. It relies completely on our community and the registration of volunteers.
However, those with questions regarding the program or how to register may contact the city’s Accessibility Coordinator at 613-967-3200 ext. 3502.
