The number of active cases of COVID-19 across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties dropped to 15 Tuesday after the health unit reported zero new cases.
It is the first day with zero new cases reported since July 30.
However, Hastings Prince Edward Health declared one new outbreak Monday bringing the number of active outbreaks up to three.
The health unit’s dashboard shows the workplace outbreak in Belleville is responsible for three cases.
No one is being treated in hospital.
Eighty-three percent of local residents aged 12 and up have received both doses of a COVID vaccine while 89% have received a first dose.
Ontario reported 269 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, the lowest number of new daily cases since early August.
Nearly 88% of eligible Ontarians have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and almost 84% have both doses.
