The Bain Excavating Rockies put a bow on the 88th season of the South Hastings Baseball League with an 11-5 win over Uens Pole Line to win the Thornton Portt Memorial Trophy. Bain swept the series in four straight.

Joe Blakely did it all in the deciding game. He homered, drove in three runs and pitched a complete game striking out six. Blakely won the Bob Reid Trophy as the playoff MVP.
A.J. Burlington also homered and had two RBIs.
The Rockies won The Gerald Walsh Trophy as regular season SHBL champions with an impressive 12-2 record and then went onto sweep all three series in the playoffs to go 9-0 in the post season.
