The Campbellford Rebels and the Frankford Huskies renewed pleasantries Saturday night just 24 hours after the Rebels beat the Huskies 6-3 on Friday.
The Rebels opened the scoring when forward Josh Sainthill tipped off a shot from the blue line to take a 1-0 lead.
Campbellford had to kill three penalties before the period ended and they took the lead into the intermission.
In the second period the Huskies scored to knot the game at one.
Despite trading multiple power play opportunities neither team was able to score any more and the deadlock carried into the third frame.
The game remained tied for most of the third period but with just four minutes left, forward Dryden Minifie scored to take a 2-1 lead for the Rebels.
Not to be outdone the Huskies, still searching for their first ever win, knotted the game late in the period to tie it and send the game to overtime.
The extra period signalled the first ever point in the standings for Frankford.
The extra hockey was short-lived as Minifie played hero for the Rebels, scoring just 32 second in and ending the game with a final score of 3-2.
