There were three new cases of COVID-19 reported Thursday in Hastings and Prince Edward counties and with two recoveries there are now 21 active infections.
Two of the cases are located in central Hastings County and another in Prince Edward County.
Two of the positive tests were found in people who were unvaccinated with the other being in a fully vaccinated person. Over 70% of the active infections were in people who were not vaccinated.
Eighty-nine percent of the population of Hastings-Prince Edward 12 years of age and older have received one dose of vaccine while 82% are fully vaccinated.
